Index of Goals
Organizational Goals and Objectives
Goal 1 – Texas Cooperative Extension will develop and utilize a comprehensive system for individual, fiscal, and programmatic accountability to maximize the agency’s effectiveness and efficiency with our stakeholders.
Goal 2 – Texas Cooperative Extension will develop and utilize a comprehensive system for program interpretation to maximize accountability efforts aimed at maximizing the agency’s effectiveness and efficiency with our stakeholders.
Delivery System for Urban Audiences
Goal 1 – Resources will be identified and acquired to maximize program capacity for county urban/population center programs.
Goal 2 – Materials will be developed to effectively market/promote Texas Cooperative Extension in urban/suburban/population centers for program interpretation.
Goal 3 – Support for professional and/or competency development of urban agents and others will be enhanced.
Goal 4 – The Texas Cooperative Extension urban staff will be reflective of Texas demographics by the 2010 census.
Goal 5 – Explore the potential for expansion of urban-designated counties and assisting when needed in reaching established criteria.
Goal – Texas Cooperative Extension will strive for diversity among its personnel, volunteer corps, and program participants to be representative of the people of Texas.
Employee Recognition and Rewards
Goal – Texas Cooperative Extension will create a culture of mutual respect, reward, and recognition for employees at all levels.
Financial and Resource Management
Goal – Texas Cooperative Extension will maintain the public trust as a state agency through internal and external accountability practices.
Goal – Texas Cooperative Extension Information Technology will support education and the organization.
Goal – Internal communications will be planned and targeted to improve employee pursuit of organizational goals and knowledge of organizational business.
Marketing and External Communication
Goal 1 – Texas Cooperative Extension employees will correctly identify and effectively brand the agency’s programs and offices for greater public awareness.
Goal 2 – The capacity to target communications and agency marketing efforts to key audiences will be developed.
Goal 3 – Build reputation for the Texas Cooperative Extension brand through media efforts focused on select, high-impact programs.
Goal 4 – A positive reputation for Extension (what we want to be known for) through Agricultural Communications’ regular, ongoing news coverage efforts will be strategically developed.
Goal 5 – Marketing materials that strategically re-position the agency for the future by honing our image and message(s) will be produced and maintained.
Goal 6 – Our capabilities to produce and market value-added educational publications and other materials will be enhanced and expanded.
Goal – Employees will achieve professional growth and success that will enhance their ability to provide quality, relevant outreach and education programs and services to the people of Texas.
Goal – Quality assessment and management of Extension programs, services, products, and processes to enhance customer and employee satisfaction and Extension reputation will be implemented.
Goal – Develop resources to build faculty competencies in effectively handling risk management issues that may occur.
Goal – A volunteer system in Texas Cooperative Extension that adheres to our “grassroots” mission will be implemented.
